Phillip Gause joined the Denver office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in January 2014. In his current role, Phil is responsible for origination and placement of financing for all asset classes of commercial real estate nationwide specializing in placement of senior and mezzanine debt as well as JV and preferred equity in various Mountain West and Midwest markets.

Prior to joining MMCC, Phil served as a director with Arbor Commercial Mortgage, LLC and focused on small balance multifamily originations nationwide through a combination of GSE and proprietary lending programs. Previously, he served as a client manager with J.P. Morgan Chase’s Commercial Term Lending division originating multifamily and commercial real estate portfolio loans. He started his career at Washington Mutual Bank focusing on small balance multifamily originations. He has originated and closed approximately $550 million of transactions in his 14 years in the industry and was ranked as one of MMCC’s top 15 financing professionals nationwide for 2015, 2016 and 2017. He also earned two National Achievement Awards (2015, 2017) which are awarded on an annual basis to the top 10% of investment sales and financing professionals companywide.

Phil graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and entrepreneurship.
